The Pathways New Beginnings

LANCASHIRE PARTNERSHIP Project funded by RSMP

MIGRANT SUPPORT and LANCASHIRE HONGKONGERS CIC

Supporting BN(O) Visa Holders in Lancashire & Cumbria

Migrant Support leads this project in partnership with Lancashire Hongkongers CIC (LHCIC). Together, we are working to create a safe, welcoming space for BN(O) visa holders to settle, connect, and thrive in their new communities across Lancashire, thanks to the support of the RSMP. We aim to help BN(O) feel at home, connected, and confident, and build a strong, self-sustaining support network across the region. We are also working to strengthen local partnerships and raise awareness of BN(O) 's need to reach and support new arrivals, including older adults, families, and individuals.

The project aims to build Connections from Day One and plan and deliver events that bring BN(O) residents living in Lancashire together and connected.

We deliver community events that mix fun, tradition, and local discovery—all designed to help people feel part of where they live.

  • Mahjong Campaign
  • Board Game Club – Monthly sessions + public holidays
  • Football Matches
  • Cultural Celebrations – Mid-Autumn lantern-making, Double Ninth Festival hiking, Hong Kong-style Halloween, Christmas, New Year and Lunar New Year festivities.

We deliver the Week ESOL class: tailored support for Pre-Entry and Entry 1 learners in Preston and Blackpool. There are no exams or pressure—just confidence-building, conversation, and community. The course is open for enrolment.
